Here’s what you need to know.

We get asked about V6 to V8 conversions all the time — so we’ve put together some quick answers to our most frequently asked questions to help you decide if it's the right move for you.

WHAT OUR CONVERSIONS COVER

Complete V6 to V8 Conversion Package — Supplied & Fitted

This is a full conversion package designed to have your car running just like a factory V8. We supply and fit everything needed to ensure the vehicle runs exactly as it should — no shortcuts.

Our conversion includes:

✅ All wiring
✅ Full programming and integration

We source all components from complete donor vehicles purchased at auctions across Australia. Every donor car is fully running and tested before any parts are removed, ensuring quality and reliability in every conversion.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

While our basic conversion package includes everything required to have your vehicle running as a V8, there are a number of optional extras available to enhance performance, drivability, and reliability.

Here’s what we offer — and why you might want to consider them:

Differential Swaps
We stock a wide range of Commodore diff ratios, including LSD and non-LSD options. Upgrading your diff can improve traction and performance, especially if you’re increasing power output.

Big Brake Upgrades
Your factory brakes will handle the conversion just fine — but if you’re planning further upgrades (like one of our cam packages), we recommend stepping up your braking power. Options range from upgraded pads and rotors to a full HSV brake setup, supplied and fitted.

Heavy-Duty Clutches
Again, not essential for a basic conversion, but highly recommended if you're adding more power down the line. A heavy-duty clutch will handle the extra torque and extend the life of your drivetrain.

Engine-Back Exhaust Systems
To help your new V8 breathe better, we recommend upgrading the exhaust. We can supply and fit brand new or good-condition second-hand systems, depending on your preference and budget.

OTR (Over-the-Radiator Intakes)
Improving airflow is always a smart move — especially if you’re planning a cam and tune package. We offer both new and used OTR systems to suit your setup.

These upgrades are completely optional but are commonly chosen by customers looking to get the most out of their V8 conversion.

STANDARD V6-V8 CONVERSION

Base V6 to V8 Conversion Package

This is our complete, drive-away V6 to V8 conversion, with everything supplied and fitted to have your vehicle running just like a factory V8. No shortcuts — engine, transmission, wiring, and programming are all included.

Pricing:
- VE Series 1 (Auto & Manual): $12,500
- VE Series 2 (Auto & Manual): $12,500
- VF Series 1 & 2: $15,500

CAM AND TUNE PACKAGE

Our Cam and tune package includes. 

LS7 Lifters, Valve Springs, All new Gaskets, Cam and Tune

Our Otr and Exhausts we highly recommend if optioning our Cam and Tune package to give the engine the extra airflow it needs.

PRICING

STANDARD V6 ENGINE REPLACEMENTS

For all of our standard engine replacements we have a set price of $3500. that covers the complete engine replacement supplied and fitted along with a service and 3 month warranty to ensure you'll be starting off right with your new engine. 

LLT TO LFX CONVERSIONS

Our LLT To LFX Conversions in our eyes are the best things you can do to ensure that your vehicle will last as long as you.

This is a complete conversion supplied and fitted to have the vehicle as if it came optioned from the factory with these engines 

The LFX is the revised VF V6 engine and with that they have almost entirely eliminated the dreaded alloytec timing chain issues. 

In the past 5 years of doing 5 timing chains a week we have yet to do one on an LFX engine.
